When the Beastie Boys revisited “Fight For Your Right (To Party)” a few years back, they brought in Will Ferrell, Jack Black, and Elijah Wood. When Jasonrockcity revisit it, they went with ukulele, shaker, and xylophone.

The unlikely cover song comes off an unlikely cover album, Gold Digger & Other Hip-Hop Joints of Distinction. Inspired by Mark Kozelek’s AC/DC covers, the experimental folk duo of Jason Applin and Debbit Brown bring their off-kilter acoustic sensibilities to everyone from Tupac (“California Love”) to N.E.R.D. (“Lap Dance”).

The album drops May 17th, but we’re pleased to premiere “Fight For Your Right” below.
