Ramona Gonzalez, better known by her bedroom-pop moniker Nite Jewel, made many publications’ “Best of 2012” lists with her latest album, One Second of Love. Here, the Los Angeles native puts her own gossamer spin on Michael Jackson‘s disco-infused classic “P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing).”

Instead of trying to keep up with Jackson’s upbeat and dance-ready beat, Nite Jewel introduces an electronic-based R&B rhythm. The slow and deliberate take on the sixth single off of Thriller fits the original intention of the song just as well, if not better, in some ways. Click below to listen to the seductive track.
