Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard Grimes “Oblivion” off of the sure-to-be-on-everyone’s-best-of-2012-list Visions. Oddly enough, we have not seen any covers of the track until recently with Total Slacker’s take on it.

Total Slacker is comprised of anything but slackers. The Brooklyn-based rockers are about to head out on tour with Night Manager and decided to squeeze in a few DJ sets and record this cover before hitting the road. And, to top it off, they’ve decided to make the track available for free. Keeping the signature bassline and coos of the original, the cover takes off and ends with some thrashing lo-fi guitar. Needless to say, it’s worth the download. Check it out below:
