Much-buzzed duo Cults have only one 33-minute album to their name, so they need a little more material for their headlining shows. On Friday night, they found some material in a new cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Everybody Knows,” which they debuted at Philly’s Union Transfer.

The song proves a good vehicle for the band’s more atmospheric side. They slow-churn threateningly behind Madeline Follin’s ghostly vocals. Watch a video of the performance below.

  1. Still, the honors go to Concrete Blonde for the best ‘Everybody Knows’ cover…

  2. So awesome! One of my new favorite Leonard Cohen covers is Bradford Cox’s version of “Seems So Long Ago, Nancy”, check it out http://pitchfork.com/news/45313-watch-bradford-cox-cover-leonard-cohen/

  3. Agreed….Cant touch Concrete Blondes version of this song. This version far pales in comparison.

  4. Yes, Concrete Blonde nailed the song and I doubt anyone will ever do it better…
