Cuff the Duke Give Alt-Country Spin to Dum Dum Girls’ “Always Looking”

Dum Dum Girls is known for its California garage pop sound. Cuff the Duke is known for its folk and alt-country influences. The latter band recently covered the sultry lead track from the Dum Dum Girls’ new Only in Dreams and the result is stunning.

Cuff the Duke brings a twang that is so foreign to the powerful tune that it’s almost unnerving. The band has released the cover on the currently free Paper Bag Records 2011 Fall Sampler.
