This is turning out to be a banner year for Kate Bush fans. The reclusive artist who usually spends five to ten years between albums released Director’s Cut back in May and just announced 50 Words for Snow, her tenth studio album set for release on November 21. Last month we posted an amazing cover version of Kate’s “Cloudbusting” by Johanna and the Dusty Floor, and now comes U.K. singer-songwriter Becky Jones aka Saint Saviour with her Kate cover.

Last week in an interview with The Londonist, the unique “chamber-pop” singer mentioned she had never heard Bush before. “I actually did the Kate Bush one because I am constantly being compared to her and I had never actually listened to her stuff before” Jones said. “So one day I just decided to listen to her music – I listened to quite a lot.” The result is an inspired version of Kate Bush’s “Army Dreamers,” the third single from her 1980 album Never For Ever. Featuring multi-tracked layers of vocals, the sounds Saint Saviour creates capture the spirit of the late ‘7os production of the song. Download the track below and look out for Saint Saviour’s EP Suukei, on which this song appears, in October.
