Are you sick to death of Adele covers? Hey, we don’t blame you. We’ve heard a lot this year. If you know you’ll just keel over if you hear another belted tribute to 21, bookmark this page and then walk away. Take a month or two and come back when you’re feeling fresh. Listening to today’s Adele cover with anything but an open mind and open ears wouldn’t do it justice.

You’re back? Great. Now you can experience Peter Hollens’ ethereal a cappella blend of “Turning Tables” and “Someone Like You.” It takes an oft-seen approach (an intrepid commenter in our 21 tribute pointed out a strikingly similar medley) and just does it better than anyone else. Hollens has a clear edge over all the one-man a cappella YouTube competition: a better voice. Those lush, soaring harmonies make what would be a good cover anyway a stop-in-your-tracks performance. Plus, the visuals themselves break out of those Hollywood Squares-type boxes you see in most of these videos. Watch it below. You’ll be glad you waited.
