In February 2010, an all-star roster of artists and legends came together to honor Neil Young at a charity tribute concert. Now, a year later, the footage from that show will finally see release. A MusiCares Tribute to Neil Young features James Taylor, Wilco, Norah Jones, and more – and we’ve got a first look below!

First up, the disc-opening “Rocking in the Free World” sounds like it generally does when an all-star collective plays it, aka. lots of guitar. When the two solo-happy axemen happen to be Keith Urban and John Fogerty, though, it’s an unexpected treat no matter how many other times you’ve heard similar versions. Booker T.‘s organ doesn’t hurt either (though after some promising flairs during the intro, it sadly gets subsumed).

Following that, Lady Antebellum delivers a typically hyper-emotive country-pop performance that won’t earn them any new fans, but will probably please the eighty gazillion they already have. Finally, another all-star group takes the stage when Elton John, Leon Russell, Neko Case, and Sheryl Crow all team up for “Helpless.” John and Russell take the lead on both vocals and piano, leaving Case and Crowe to play the role of center-stage backup singers. Though he’s not credited, you’ll notice T Bone Burnett strumming along stage left.

Watch all three performances below!  A MusiCares Tribute to Neil Young drops May 31st on DVD and Blu-Ray. We’ve got the full tracklist below, along with the actual concert setlist, which is in a different order and includes a few tracks not on the DVD. Personally, we can’t believe they left off the Chili Peppers’ “A Man Needs a Maid,” but what can you do?
