LCD Soundsystem didn’t stay dead very long. Their farewell show was only a week and a half ago, but they already return with a new track, albeit one recorded pre-MSG. It’s a cover of Franz Ferdinand’s Tonight jam “Live Alone.” Squonking sax and thudding drum machine stretch the three-minute song well past the seven-minute mark.

“I want to live alone,” James Murphy drawls in a lyric that could come from any number of LCD songs and a post-disco swirl that sounds like New Order. The Franz Ferdinand Covers EP comes out April 16th, Record Store Day. Listen below, then read on for the full tracklist, which consists of A-List covers of Tonight cuts.
