At the ripe old age of 21, Lianne La Havas’ voice is wise beyond its years. With a sound that is both reminiscent of a bygone era and as contemporary as Adele’s, Lianne brings a unique flavor to the music scene. This London songbird has been generating a lot of buzz lately and recently signed with Warner Brothers Records to work on the release of her first album. After listening to her recent cover of “Final Form” by the up-and-coming English rock band Everything Everything, it’s easy to understand why people are talking.

Everything Everything recently released “Final Form” as the fourth single off their chart-topping album (in the U.K.), Man Alive. La Havas molds what was a straight-forward indie rock song into a genre all its own. What can only be described as indie/folk/R&B, this cover song showcases Lianne’s amazing vocal talent and range. The song starts as a soft guitar ballad and soon gets into a groovy rhythm. The blend of soul, modern beats, and Lianne La Havas’ voice makes this cover one for repeat listens.
