As you’re busy mounting social media campaigns and handing out fliers to support your candidates in today’s Moptop Madness poll, take a breather with two Beatles covers you don’t have to choose between! By sheer coincidence, we’ve just received two rocking covers of “Eleanor Rigby.” Because nothing says “good times” like picking up rice at a church where a wedding has been.
London trio Tree Pit do a piano-rock version, adding some hefty drums behind the chords. Then, hard-rocking cover band Take Cover pushes it even further (disclaimer: featuring Cover Me’s own Eric Garneau on bass) with some metal guitar. Download both below, and watch Tree Pit record theirs in the studio while you’re at it.
